between fighting to replace you with trucks from Mexico and the on the job training then hired to work here in India, you have no positive outlook right now.
The unions want members but have no explanation why they keep signing up illegals except lining their pockets. What advice would you have for someone interested in truck driving?
RUN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION AS FAST AS YOU CAN...
A good paid for survey program is ECashOffers. You get $3 to sign up at http://tinyurl.com/3c2rwq
I made over $250 last month just doing free surveys. I was never asked or required to pay for anything.
You get paid to take free surveys and refer your friends to do the same. The minimum payout requirement is only $15 so that means you just have to earn $12 to receive a check and see that the program is legit for yourself.
I have 17 years driving big rigs. When I started in 1976 several old timers told me to make up my mind in the first year whether I wanted to drive the rest of my life or not. They told me it gets into your blood and there is no way to cure it. The road will always becon. I am here to say this is VERY TRUE. If you just want a job, then you may be able to walk away from it sometime in the future. I can't.
I will tell youmy story in brief. In 1999 I stopped to get fuel at the TA west of Indianapolis.I was going to be there just long enough to fuel up and hit the road again. I had just come off a four day weekend and was heading out for a four week tour (my choice). I fueled and paid for it and had a seizure. In minutes I would have been back on the road. Thankfully I wasn't because it took me about three hours to even remember where I was.
I can no longer drive the big rigs because I now have epilepsy which simply put is more than a couple seizures and likely to be a permanant condition. I take medication daily and have no of the condition but one cannot drive a comercial vehicle across state lines if the are on medication even if it fully controls the condition.
So the point is, as the Boy Scouts motto says, Be Prepared. The only other thing is DO NOT buy your own rig until you spend a few years in the industry and fully understand it. You could be stuck with something you can't pay for. Good luck. Lee
