Advice.....?

i am very imaginative and i want to write a book. however everytime i start i never finish. but im thinking that is because i never pick a topic/plot interesting enough. any good ideas? detailed ideas?Advice.....?
Order the book, ';the pocket muse'; by Monica Wood off of Amazon or a place like that. Its an amazing book that has ideas and inspirations for writing. Things like quotes from authors and picture prompts. Its pretty niffty.Advice.....?
You should attempt to finish a complete outline. This includes outline each character in detail, the range of events in each chapter, and the official plot and climax. Jot down the beginning, middle, and end. Once you've got it all set in your mind, you can easily add and subtract things, don't be afraid to take a few months or years for this part alone.
