Can anyone give advice on how to control a mole invasion in your yard?

( My first question..thank you for answering )

Having a lot of problems with pesky moles taking over the yard. I would love to know of any

( original ) ideas other than the standard traps, pepper, gum or Castor Bean plant suggestions. Can anyone give advice on how to control a mole invasion in your yard?
To get rid of moles you have to get rid of the food source, grubs. Grub control treatments are most effective in late summer when the grubs are newly hatched and shallow in the soil. I have posted a link for you in eradicating the grubs. It is beneficial nematodes.

What are nematodes? Nematodes are naturally occurring, earth friendly microscopic worms.

Please see website I have posted for you.Can anyone give advice on how to control a mole invasion in your yard?
Go to the grocery store and get lye and put it in the tunnles they will lick it off their feet and die
In my area they go after grub worms in the soil. I used a multi-purpose insect controller. Sprinkled it over problem areas and I haven't had a problem since.
#1 You have to use Grub-ex in early summer.

#2 Get a hoop type mole trap, it's the only kind that works.

There may not be as many you think, one mole can do a

lot of damage.

They are solitary animals, if you kill it, there may not be

another.
As crazy as it sounds, they hate hard rock music. If you can find a small transistor radio, put it on a hard rock station turn it on, drop it into their hole and they will leave.
Get a cat! We don't have a problem anymore.
Sounds cruel but placing broken glass in their runs is a possible way to ask them to go elsewhere. Another is cedar shavings and mothballs pushed into their tunnels.

Although these were mentioned, juicy fruit gum worked in my case. A tablespoon of Castor bean oil mixed with two tablespoons of liquid detergent until it looks like shaving cream. Add to warm water in a sprinkling can and pour over trouble spots. But only after it has rained.
um a baseball bat hotdogs and cyanide
Yeah. Get a cat.
We've also had problems with them, and this is what we did. Take dog poop and shove it down their hole. I'm not kidding! I guess they feel they're being invaded and won't use that hole again! My sister also used to do this and she no longer has any moles around, and neither do we.
You can put a cheap radio on a rock station in the hole really loud and that will keep them out of the yard and doesn't cost a lot of money, or spray your yard for grubs as that is one of their favorite foods.

What is some advice you can give me for trying tennis?

I really want to start playing tennis. I've been sort of playing it a little in the summer for a year with my family and I think it is really fun and hope to do it next year in High School. Any tips of advice you can give? No one in my family has really played tennis so they aren't as experienced. Any help would be great thanks! What is some advice you can give me for trying tennis?
just pick up a racquet and ball and go hit and serve...justs tart playing and ull get better..i started 2 summers ago..even though im anturally athletic im on the school varsity team now, and its a lot of fun. also watch videos on youtube or soemthing to learn beginner techniques

but it is a very hard sport to masterWhat is some advice you can give me for trying tennis?
I think if you are just starting out the best thing to do is to take a few lessons from someone. They can teach you the basics and then you can build on that and get better. Once you have a basic understanding of how to play you just need to play as much as you can. I find it helps me if I watch good players and try to emulate some of the things that they do. Like anything else, it takes a lot practice to get good.
It's not a good idea to play high school tennis after 1 year at it. You need to make sure you are ready and that you can make varsity before you can try out like me.

Get good equipment and learn the right techniques instead of hitting the wrong way.

Practice endurance and speed. Do footwork drills.

Practice with a ball machine everyday,
Join a club. Meet up with like-minded people %26amp; make some new friends. Some clubs give free lessons when you join up so shop around when lookin for a club. Maybe the family could join too.

No need to spend ridonkulous amounts of money, just spend as you progress.

Set up a routine so that you can fit it into your daily / weekly schedule

EG: School / Tennis / Swim / Home
Take lessons. Ask around for some names of instructors in your area. They will be able to tell you tips you wouldn't be able to know yourself and you will get better at a faster rate.
lessons would obviously be amazin but ya could definatly just look up some techniques...ya really just need to practice! =)
try taking group lessons. it's cheaper than private, and it's more fun. if u just want to learn, take private lessons. keep ur eye on the ball and be consistent
play with people better than u and get prince as your racket. Its great

even for beginners.

Does anyone have advice or recommendation for having a dishwasher installed into a Mobile home?

This is a double wide ( but box shape) It's a 2005 year model. This is Not to improve Value as I am quite aware mobile homes value goes Down NOT Up. This is just for a growing family and hand washing takes so much time/water. This will be in Northeast Georgia but any info on cost or anything. We will not live here forever but for the time being.... Thanks for any advice.Does anyone have advice or recommendation for having a dishwasher installed into a Mobile home?
Your kitchen probably has been designed to recieve a dishwasher,so it should be fairly easy.

On either side of your sink you should have a 24'; base cabinet.Remove this cabinet and a dishwasher will fit in.

You will need to run a wire to feed the D/W and the plumbing is all under the sink so thats no problem.

D/W start at around $200 and you can budget around $200 for plumbing and electrical.Does anyone have advice or recommendation for having a dishwasher installed into a Mobile home?
First you should look to your drought situation in GS. However, you need water no matter what. Lots of mobile homes and modulars come equipped with a DW and there is no reason yours shouldn't have one either. Same drains, same feeds, you will notice a slight downward trend in pressure at other taps while it is filling. But, if you have the counterspace close to your sink, where all the feeds will be, go for it. Even a portable will work. You just connect the hoses to your faucet and put the drain hose into your sink.

Just remember, if your DW has a heat wash and heat dry, your electric bill will go up a bit. I doubt your water bill will increase very much. They don't take much more water than washing and rinsing dishes two or three times a day.

Can anyone offer advice on natural ways to increase fertility?

My boyfriend and I have been active for about a year with no luck. I am not quite ready to go through the poking and proding, so I am hoping for homeopathic advice and tips(including position, etc) My doc recommended prenatal vitamins and ovulation test. I'm 27 %26amp; he's 37, we both have had preliminary test, so far everything seems fine. Can anyone offer advice on natural ways to increase fertility?
HI! I am trying natural stuff as well, Check out Ovulex.com, its what I am using and seems to be working, getting my body ready. It also comes with a guarentee if it doesnt work out for you. Good Luck! Can anyone offer advice on natural ways to increase fertility?
You may want to try traditional chinese medicine (TCM). Since men are responsible for 40% of the infertility problems we face, I've included herbal remedies for women and men.

Herbal Medicine Treatments for Infertility in Women

A variety of herbs have been shown to stimulate the female hormones and functions necessary to conceive. These include:

鈥?Damiana

鈥?Dong quai

鈥?Blue cohosh

鈥?False unicorn root

鈥?Ginseng

鈥?Gotu kola

鈥?Licorice root

鈥?Wild yam root

Avoid false unicorn root and wild yam root if there鈥檚 a chance of pregnancy. Those with high blood pressure should also avoid ginseng and licorice root.

Other remedies for women include tea made from stinging nettle seed, wild raspberry leaf , St. John鈥檚 wort or a mixture of red clover blossoms and peppermint.

Herbal Medicine Treatment for Infertility in Men

For men, herbal treatments are centered on a whole body harmony and vigor as well as stimulation of male reproductive hormones. Some herbs often prescribed for infertility in men include:

鈥?Astragalus extract

鈥?Saw palmetto

鈥?Ginseng

鈥?Damiana

鈥?Sarsaparilla

鈥?Yohimbe

Panax ginseng (also known as Chinese or Korean ginseng) is an excellent herbal infertility treatment and has been used as such for centuries. Clinical tests have shown a marked improvement in sperm count and mobility as well as an abeyance of erectile dysfunction, all of which are major issues of male factor infertility. However, ginseng should be avoided if high blood pressure is an issue.

Erectile dysfunction can also be treated with green oat, also known as avena sativa. Another treatment for sperm issues is the Chinese herb yin yang huo, or aceranthus sagittatum.

All herbal supplements should be taken with food or water. Teas should be steeped for one to four hours. Results vary and usually don鈥檛 begin to manifest until a few weeks have passed.
i just read an article in my obgyn's office today about high fat-real dairy icecream increasing a woman's ovary production. wouldn't that be great it's really true.

i've also been told that missionary and doggie positions are best for conception because of penetration. also, tracking your ovulation is key. you can get the predictor kits from a drugstore or mass discounter (i.e. walmart) to keep track. i know your anxious feelings; my husband and i are in the same boat. best of luck!

Does anyone have advice on when to buy flight tickets?

I'm planning a bachelorette party in Las Vegas for October. We're planning on flying from Houston on a Thursday and returning home on Sunday. With rising fuel prices, would it be cheaper to purchase tickets now, or wait until last minute? I know that it's cheaper to fly during the week, but all of the girls work and have limited vacation days. Any advice?Does anyone have advice on when to buy flight tickets?
Southwest usually has really good early fares and they are now only booking through Oct 30th. They are called Fun Fares, so I would get a move on it if possible. They still are not charging for one bag either. All the other carriers are charging up to $25 for each additional bag, no matter what the cost, so pack light!

PS - I have a posting on Craigslist now for $437 worth of airfare for $400! Saving $40 will be nice for those coctails for sure! Let me know if you are interested. I only do paypal :)Does anyone have advice on when to buy flight tickets?
Now.

Try Southwest out of Hobby.. because, if the prices go down, you can change fares without a penalty. Also check Southwest Vacations to bundle your air/hotel/car and if 10 or more are traveling, go for a group rate (on regular or vacation travel).

You can generally change your tickets for a lower priced fare with all of the other airlines but, by the time they hit you with a 'change fee,' you're probably better off with the higher fare.

Have fun!
Orbitz.com - I used this site when travelling in the US. I would also recommend looking at individual airlines website so see if any have sales or offers rather than just using seach engines.

Last minute tickets can be cheaper but you risk not getting them. Purchase in advance. Tickets are cheaper.

How much nutritional advice can i give without a nutritionist's license?

I am a recently certified personal fitness instructor (through W.I.T.S.) and I can not seem to find a definitive answer as to how in depth my dietary advice can be without getting into possible legal liability. I realize the obvious answer would be ';None';, but that means I wouldn't be doing my job as best as I could be. I have a thorough and concrete knowledge of nutrition, I merely lack the credentials for now.How much nutritional advice can i give without a nutritionist's license?
Hello, my name is Rachel, I am also a personal trainer, but through AFFA, and I have worked with many people who have asked me what they should eat. When people ask me that question I don't give them meal plans, we are not allowed to do that. What we can do is tell them what to add to their meal plan, such as, 20-30 grams of fiber, balance carbohydrates with their protein and fat, try to avoid trans-fatty foods, limit sat. fat foods and eat all different colors of fruits and vegetables. Also, if you are not familiar with the food pyramid, print one out, that was made from trained perfessionals. If you give your clients that print out it gives them a chance to pick out what they like to eat.How much nutritional advice can i give without a nutritionist's license?
all you have to do is let your client know you're not a licensed nutritionist, but you have the common sense and the knowledge due to the nature of your job that you can give them very good ';advice';. After that you can say as much as you want

  • What is some advice to transition to working for a company to working from home?

I'm going to be working for my husband doing his admin stuff. He'll have more time making actual sales, and we're expecting the money he's going to make to cover our family. What do we need to do to get ready for the transition? What is some advice to transition to working for a company to working from home?
I own a small service business, and when I am not actually working at a client's home, I am working on all the other aspects of running my business from my home office. I have been doing this for a year and a half now, and it has been one long learning experience. I can share a few bits of advice.

For one thing, definitely set up a home office area that is to be used for nothing else, and where you can work undisturbed. I like to have a radio or small TV in my office, just for some background noise and so I don't feel too isolated - but that's a personal choice for me. Set up your work environment as works best for you.

Have a plan so that you can avoid the temptation to do work around the house, taking care of children or pets, or run out for a ';quick errand';...when you should be working. It is nice to not have a commute to deal with, and you can take care of personal things during your designated break times. For these reasons, you can find more time in the day to get these sorts of things done. However, if you want your business endeavor to be successful, you must have the ability to be disciplined in getting your work done and have designated times to focus only on your work. It is fun to be able to make your own schedule, but it is challenging when you realize that ';your own'; schedule will have much to do with client's needs and the needs of vendors, banks, etc...more so than your own preferences. Just something to keep in mind.

I need legal advice! How do laws of real estate work if bankrupccy comes to effect?

If I have a collateral on a property from a person whom I have lended money to and that person claims bankrupcy, how can I claim the my collateral property? Will the property enter the bankrupcy and would I be able to foreclose on the peoperty?I need legal advice! How do laws of real estate work if bankrupccy comes to effect?
Submit a claim to the court BEFORE the person claims bankruptcy.

That way you will be first in line for any payouts.

You don't say how much you loaned or if other lenders are involved.

If the person claims bankruptcy there will be a meeting of creditors and without a claim you won't be invited.I need legal advice! How do laws of real estate work if bankrupccy comes to effect?
When the person claims bankruptcy, as a creditor you will be notified of his filing -- if he lists you as a creditor. Have you filed your claim or paperwork with the clerk of the court in your county so it is a matter of public record?

Is he current on his payments with you? If not, go ahead and file for a lien or foreclosure on the property.

With the new bankruptcy laws it is hard to have your debts discharged. Rather now the person more than likely will have to work out a repayment plan supervised by the court.

Most all areas have an attorney's referral service, where you can call in and get a referral for a free 15 or 30 minute consultation. Check with your local bar or state bar association to see if you can take advantage of this service.

    Protect your interest!!!!! Good luck.

What is good advice to tell my friend that thinks shes ugly and fat?

My friend thinks that shes really ugly and fat because a few people have said things like that to her. whats good advice to tell her so that she doesnt think that? What is good advice to tell my friend that thinks shes ugly and fat?
compliment her sporadically. One day tell her her hair looks awesome. In two days tell her Her makeup looks great. In a few days tell her that her outfit is really cute. Slowly build that confidence back up. And the only reason girls ever care about their weight is because of boys... so tell her that there are a lot of guys that like a woman with curves. (i know for a fact) Tell her that if she is unhappy with herself (not what other people are saying) then she just needs to do something about it! like exercise or diet. What is good advice to tell my friend that thinks shes ugly and fat?
    im the same

tell her thaat the ppl saying those things are idiots

and that she is not fat ad ugly...but chances are she wont believe you

instead of keeping telling her she is pretty go something helpful

if she wants to exercies you do go with her

OR giv her loads of hugs and call the ppl who call her fat something worse

if you want to know what to call them email me
Without being too forceful about it just tell her that everyone is different ,and being fat does not mean one is ugly and if someone says so that means somehow due to some good or special quality of hers they are jealous and so they want to belittle her .You can also tell her that if you think so yourself others will never respect you so first respect yourself and stand up confidently so that no one has the courage to say that again.
Well, if she is indeed fat, you can't exactly lie to her. I'm overweight and I hate it when people try to make me feel better by telling my I'm not. Ugliness, on the other hand, is relative. Some people may see her as ugly and others may see her as pretty. What she really needs to do is ignore the negative things people say about her. It doesn't sound to me as if these people are her friends to begin with so why should it bother her what their opinion is of her? Remind her that the people who care about her the most, you, her family, etc., don't see her as fat or ugly. I hope this helps. She sounds like she's got a really good friend.
Honey you are the only one that can change you if there is something you don't like about yourself then change it. And please don't worry about what other people see because people that talk like that is insecure themselves and need to put someone else down to make themselves feel better. God created us all and he created us all different for a reason you can have a beautiful heart and it will show on the outside and this makes a special kind of beauty. When you love yourself and is happy stupid comments and stupid people will no longer bother you. Tell your friend to stay just as she is beautiful inside and out.
That's very rude and hurtful of people to say things like that to her. Just say things to her like people will accept you of who you are and that maybe a guy will even see that. Boost her confidence a little bit. Spend time with her. Maybe go out with some friends along with some guy friends? Answer mine? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
Tell her that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. And not to listen to what other people say, that they're just jealous.

btw: If these are skinny girls saying this, they are jealous, no joke.
tell her that the inner beauty is more important ......... and she will find some one to see that .......and everyone is beautiful in some way .......
Tell her everyone thinks that about themselves at some point in their teenage life.
try reverse psychology. tell her shes ugly and fat.
if its true, she can fix fat but not ugly, so tell her so.
cant let ppl put u down u are who u are noones ugly were all different
Tell her to get a life

What kind of advice can you give on long airplane rides and older people with health conditions?

Like diabetes and cholesterol problems and the person may not want to get up and walk around a bit. Also this person is older and not accustomed to airplane rides.

Even if I asked him to go by car instead I don't think he'd be able to (time constraint for something important). What kind of advice can you give on long airplane rides and older people with health conditions?
Well cholesterol problems are not something in and of themselves to put people into acute problems. Its a transport mechanism of the heart the LDL particles can deposit in the linings of the endothelium of the arteries causing blockages. these can sometimes cause heart attacks. And just by chance, they happen all the time regardless, but they can happen on a plane. So the usual advice for recognizing a heart attack applies. Which, they are virtually unpredictable. By the way. LDL bad while the HDL the good cholesterol is a transport mechanism to take it back to the liver to be taken care of.

So, as stated. Cholesterol is a long term risk factor as it takes in most cases decades to cause problems. But if the person ignored it for decades well then..

As far as sitting too long and getting a deep vein thrombosis, getting up and walking to the bathroom will stimulate the calve muscle pump to push blood and move any stagnant blood that may pool into a clot.

The clots do happen and do kill people. I have seen them kill people right in front of me. But usually they have a clotting factor issue like Leiden Factor V or other. Or they just recently had surgery and the body is trying to heal after the surgery and the blood is easily coagulable.

The diabetes should not be affected by the flight, nor really any of these issues. He should follow his usual precautionary measures. Have a good time, relax and walk every couple of hours to the bathroom and stretch to prevent rare problems. The flight crew has an emergency kit for any medical emergency and what happens is if someone has a problem, they move them to the crew area and page any travelling medical personel on board.%26gt; I know, I've gotten a couple of free flights volunteering to help out. And when they land, they are the first ones off and are greeted by emergency workers with more advanced equipment.

My overall advice is that you relax. You cant undo years and years of bad cholesterol and for 80% of the population, bad cholesterol really doesnt mean anything. Just about 20% causes vascular disease. He is safer actually on the plane with a crash kit and travelling medical professionals who always respond when called. (hell, it breaks up the monotany of the flight). So really that is much safer than driving and breaking down in a cornfield. I mean you are basically being lifeflighted when you have something go wrong in an airplane.

Smile, relax, its safer to have him fly.

    Hope that helps

James PWhat kind of advice can you give on long airplane rides and older people with health conditions?
Let him know that it's very important to stretch/move his legs a few times during the plane ride. It's important because when the person is immobile for a long time, blood gets pooled in the legs and could result in DVP (deep vein thrombosis). If that thrombus (a blood clot) breaks off and travels through the body, it could get loged in the lungs (most common place) and lead to a pulmonary embouls (it would block the passage of blood to whatever area of the lung it gets lodged in and it could be dangerous). So it's very important to stretch the legs especially at his age, if it's hard for him to move around, he can still stretch his legs in his seat. They should have pamphlets for that on the net or in the airplane.

I'm going to assume if he is diabetic he knows how to manage it, and knows that it's important for him to keep his insulin close by, and his blood sugar monitor too. Get him to periodically check his blood sugar, if it's too low, he should eat/drink something sweet, and if it's too high, he should use his insulin.

As far as cholesterol is concerned, that's more of a long term management, and there really isn't anything you can do to manage it at the moment, like you can withlow or high blood sugar.

Hope this helps :)... keep him moving. (also you can look into buying a set of special compression stockings that help circulate blood while the person is immobile for a long time!)

What is some advice you would give a freshman college student?

What is something you wished you knew before you started college? If you were writing a survival guide for college students what would be some of the things you would include? Advice you would give? Recommendations you would give them. What is some advice you would give a freshman college student?
I am just finishing my fifth and final year. It has been a wild ride. I've had a lot of fun while receiving good grades. Here is my advice:

    1. Learn the system. You will be responsible for everything that happens. Quickly try to learn the ins and outs of the university. Ask for help if you need it.

    2. Get a planner and use it for everything. This will help you stay focused.

    3. Meet new people. If you live in the dorms open your door and make friends. Do not feel you have to always be there for your friends either. For this reason do not join a frat or sorority. Look out for your self first. Do what you want to do.

    4. Go to parties but be sure to get your school work done.

    5. Go to class. When you skip you miss the administrative information that the professor gives. You don't always have to be there mentally just physically.

    6. Schedule classes for later in the day. Monday - Thursday. That way you can sleep in without the guilt of missing classes.

    7. Have one overall goal. Such as...I want to graduate in four years with this degree.

    8. Remember college is not all about academics. Have fun play intramural, join clubs, explore things. It's all about balance.

    9. DO NOT go home for at least the first month. The first few weeks of school are vital for making friends and starting class right.

    10. Become self motivated. Do not go to college because it is what society expects from you, go because you want to be there.

Final Note...If you can afford it do not work during the school year. Work could interfere with everything. Take out student loans and work during the summer. Or try taking summer classes and graduating sooner. What is some advice you would give a freshman college student?
    NEVER LEAVE COLLEGE!!!

    BECOME A PROFESSIONAL STUDENT.
    Don't become a slut!!!!
study hard but not so hard you dont allow yourself some fun

    be attentive in class

dont overanalyze everything in all of your classes but dont be afraid to ask questions or question your professors

Does anyone have advice on how to keep flowers in a flower box alive?

Hi! I have petunias, geraniums and sweet potatoe vines in a flower box right outside my window. It's in an area with heavy sunlight and a good amount of heat. I try to water them every day, but they always seem to dry out! Is there a trick to keeping them alive and well? Without overwatering?Does anyone have advice on how to keep flowers in a flower box alive?
Proper drainage is important. If the soil is too dry, it could be that either there is too much drainage, wrong type of soil, or too much heat. Since we are in the middle of the summer months, my bet is that it may be a combination of all three reasons. Check the drainage holes. If the flower box is one that sits on a ledge, you may need to put a container underneath to prevent all the water from quickly running out. Second, check the soil. If the soil is not absorbing the water properly, it can also be adding to the problem. Invest in some new potting soil. You can tell fresh soil in the way it absorbs the liquid. It acts like a sponge. It may be because the old soil has lost its nutrients. Lastly, in the summer it is very important to water plants regularly and more frequently because heat will cause the water to evaporate faster.Does anyone have advice on how to keep flowers in a flower box alive?
Make sure you drill holes in the bottom for good drainage. I heard on TV to put the insides of a babys diaper in the bottom to help hold moisture. I have never tried it.
You can try putting a pan or something underneath the pot, then when you water them and the water runs out it will run out into this pan, when the soil starts to dry out it will start sucking the water up into the soil and keep them wetter.
Make certain that your flower box drains from the bottom. It should have a reservoir tray beneath, water it there if at all possible. This should also prevent over watering. Adding a TBSP sugar per qt of water also helps.

    Good luck!
I have the same problem. I have more than one. I rotate from full sun to a place with partial sun for a day to two then back to the sun.
There are soil additives, gel looking stuff, that retains lotsa water without being too wet for the plants. Window boxex dry out quickly on a sunny day.
Spend the extra money to get a soil that will hold water better. Drying out is a big problem with flower boxes because they lose a lot of water to evaporation since it's suspended in the heat rather than the ground where the temp is more steady.

  • Do you have advice for helping a stray cat adjust?

I need to take home for fall break a homeless cat I have been feeding outside my dorm. The problem is I already have three cats at home and I know cats do not take to one another easily. How can I help my cats accept this stranger? Also, can you train a grown cat to use the litter box? How?Do you have advice for helping a stray cat adjust?
Introduce your cats to this one slowly. First thing I ususally do is when I bring them in in the carrier is to let the other cats smell him/her and by leaving him/her in the carrier it protects them all. After a little while introduce the new cat to a ';safe room';, where he/she can be alone and get the feel for the new place. Have litter, food and water in there for him/her. Spend some time with ';new cat'; and allow ';her'; to adjust and leave her in this room. When she is calmer show her the litter box (no lid at this point), put her in it calmly and if possible take her leg to scratch in it so she has the feel of the new ';dirt';. If she potties on the floor later put it in the litter box so she can smell her smell there. Spend time with your other cats, once everyone is relaxed bring new cat in and hold her while they see and smell each other. It's your job to protect new cat.. don't let her have to defend herself or it will get quite festive later. If too much tension arrises put her back in the safe room and try again later after all is relaxed again. It may take several times before you can go to the next stage of letting her loose, yet still protect her, put her back in safe room if needed and repeat until you feel comfortable to let them all together with no supervision.

Remember your cats at home will feel a little betrayed and new cat is scared to death and you are her protector.

Good luck... oh later show new cat all the litter areas, she should catch on pretty quickly.Do you have advice for helping a stray cat adjust?
Isolate him away from the other cats for a long while, let them interact under the door, exchange blankets with each others cats, when you first introduce them supervise them and maybe put the new cat in a carrier. Usually they will go by themselves to litter box unless you have potted plants they may decide to start using that so be careful make sure the only sand around is in the litter box.
Go to http://www.spiritessence.com and look into using flower essences with all the cats. Dr. Jean Hovfe has a mixture there called ';New Beginnings'; which might be very appropriate for them all. In Dr. Hovfe's article library at http://www.littlebigcat.com she has an article titled ';Cat to Cat Introductions'; which will give you some useful guidelines about introducing the cats.

Sometimes a thin layer of dirt on top of a litterbox will get an outside cat to use it. It has the smell and texture they are used to.
Uhm try to socialize them and then when you have to go to work or where ever even if its near make sure you sepreate them for their safety. Yes you can train a cat to use it to I did it.
my freinds had the same problem but after a few weeks both of his cats got along and had little kittens. he just put one in one room and closed the door and let them smell and ';hiss'; at each other. good thing for takking in a stray because most adult cats are unwanted and put to sleep. :(
the cat will automatically go to the litter box it is their nature and it will take some time for the others to get used to the new addition but they will you just have to watch and observe their behavior so they dont fight but they will get along eventually....just takes time and patience
I just took in 2 strays and they are adjusting still after a month away from my other 2 cats. They usually use the litter box but I have to scoop everyday of more often and clean out totally twice a week. Not hard. I think the idea someone mentioned about putting some dirt in is a good idea. We have had a few accidents with just one so I am going to try that. Good luck and thanks for taking in a stray. Make sure to take it to vet or shots etc...

If this person is that broken up about having a girlfriend then it seems like they really need to get more in touch with themselves. Sounds like he doesn't have enough going on in his own life so the girlfriend is everything to him. My advice to him would be to gain some activities that are more important than a girlfriend such as charity work, volunteering, go to church, sports, working out etc. But we warned that unless he finds a girl that's not into the same things she'll just complain that you dint have enough time for her or that those things are more important than her which is the whole point. But don't worry the right girl will understand, the rest are just for fun. What is some advice for someone devastated by no longer having a girlfriend?

Anyone have advice or tips on learning the fingering for the hard level of Guitar Hero?

I beat medium level recently but haven't felt like putting in the work to learn the new fingering when adding the orange button. I can't avoid it any longer. I need tips.Anyone have advice or tips on learning the fingering for the hard level of Guitar Hero?
Slide your index finger up to red. That way you can hit all reds and greens with your index finger, leaving one colour each for the other three fingers. Works for me (I've beaten expert on every GH game)Anyone have advice or tips on learning the fingering for the hard level of Guitar Hero?
Yes I do. Abandon this worthless pursuit and spend your time on something more productive like doing well in school so that you can get a good job when you get out and make a lot of money and be happy. The harder you work in the next few years the better your WHOOOOOOOOOOLE life is going to be after school.
Well, I haven't beaten the mideum level yet.... but my bf is on hard some somgs expert (no joke) he plays real guitar but he taps the buttons other than pressing them it goes alot faster. but you have to know wher every button is.
ya what i do is i put my index finger on the red so my other 3 fingers are on yellow blue and orange. than when a green comes i slide my index finger up than back down.. it works for me. give it a try i have beat all gh's on expert
i cant press any buttons with my pinky, it screws me up, lol

What legal advice should my Grandma know before hiring an attorney?

Three weeks ago my Grandma broke her hip. After getting a pedicure and prior to a massage, beauticiantician had her put on a robe and a pair of disposable flip flops. After changing my grandma of 84 years walked out to the lobby and tripped on a misplaced floor mat (over-lapping another). My Grandma has had surgery since. She asked me for some advice on where to find a good lawyer, and also whether or not she should sue. What legal advice should my Grandma know before hiring an attorney?
I feel really bad for your grandma that she had to have surgery. However, I think it's really mean for her to sue. I've been in the beauty industry, and most day spas are locally owned businesses. Suing could shut them down and ruin the salon-owners livelihood. This could be devastating to the salon owner, particularly if she has a family that she is supporting. The disposable flip-flops are standard after a pedicure, there's nothing negligent about that. The misplaced floor mat could have happened anywhere, including at home. I think she should sue if she truely ginuinely needs the money for the medical care, but for no more. No pain and suffering, etc. What legal advice should my Grandma know before hiring an attorney?
I can feel what you and your grandma feels. It's a hard situation for old woman to broke her hip.

Can anybody advice me on how to start a meatshop business?

My family wants to venture into a small scale meatshop business in our locality in the visayas. Do you know any links that can help me with this negosyo? Aside from meat that equipments needed. for this type of business. Can anybody advice me on how to start a meatshop business?
All the local meatshops have closed over the last 15 years. I wonder if this is the time that is right for a return to the old days. The one near me had wonderful steaks. They went out of business. Everyone shopped at Safeway.

The equipment should be easy. THere are restaurant supply warehouses everywhere. You will do best to contact the bankruptcy court and all the local ';business brokers';. There are storage sheds filled with meat cutting equipment and no one ever expects to find a buyer in 2008.

I want you to think of some side-business that could make this work. What could you do yourself that would attract people to stop in for something else and leave with meat for dinner? Get to work and think of something.

I need advice on how to price my garage sale items?

I have lots of nice things I am putting in a garage sale, such as clothes, baby items, and household things. I want to make a lil money, but do not want to be too high on my items. What is a good rule or percentage of retail value that I should put on these like new items?

Also, it's a multi family sale. We are planning on using different color stickers for each family to make the check out easier. Any different ideas or suggestions for organization would be great. Thanks in advance.I need advice on how to price my garage sale items?
Try to go at least to 50% of the original price, if not more. Another thing to keep in mind is, if you price it just a little higher than you think it should go for, people can talk you down. That always makes a buyer happy, when they think they talked you down from your original price. It works for me. Out of the last 2 yard sales I had in the last couple of years, I've made at least $300. Good luck.I need advice on how to price my garage sale items?

What is some advice you have for beggining babysitters?

Me and my friend are planning on putting up ads and fliers around town to start babysitting. What are some things we would need to tell them about ourselves so that they would be comfortable to trust us with there children? What is some advice you have for beggining babysitters?
http://knowingchild.blogspot.com/2008/10鈥?/a>What is some advice you have for beggining babysitters?
Have you considered taking a babysitting class? Some cities offer them at the local hospital or through the Red Cross. They teach you some basic first aid and CPR, what to do in an emergency, how to keep both you and the children safe, and some classes even teach you how to write a simple resume and how to find babysitting jobs.

I have a 2 year old daughter and would be much more likely to hire a sitter with this kind of training.
if it were me looking for a babysitter, i would want to have someone i know recommend one. and also i would want to know the kind of experience a sitter had w/kids and what the ages were they cared for. also, a babysitting course is very helpful- i took one when i was 13.
Each of you should take first aid classes, CPR, infant CPR, babysitting classes, any class that is offered by the Red Cross. Most of these classes are offered through a community center, community college, and at hospitals.
You need to go to the people you actually KNOW who have kids, not fliers. That is VERY dangerous.

Honestly, I wouldn't ask a stranger to care for my child.

  • Need tips and Advice on how to throw a good party for minors?

I am having a party at my house on a Saturday night. I have no choice but to have it outside on my deck so it will be noisy. I live at the end of a street so I don't think I will be bothering to many people.

Its a semi-formal/formal get together. Their will be dancing, bon-fire, hot tub, snacks and a scary movie at the very end of the night. How do I keep everyone from going off into the woods? Bothering the neighbors? Peeing in the Hot Tub and not making a ton of noise. My mom approved of it already... I just don't want things to be a total disastor. Also I'm hosting this party because I don't want to go to prom and I plan on having like a mini select our own Formal King and Queen. Any ideas on how to do that?

This is my first time hosting a party so I need some pointers...

Thx.Need tips and Advice on how to throw a good party for minors?
the first party I had was a Halloween party.

now we went a little 'all out' but we got a air hockey table, had a pool table, and foose ball. Keeps people entertained. We chose music we knew would make everyone happy. for our friends who like hop hop we had hip hop, we had country, we had jazz...everything. We ordered pizza and cookies, served water and tons of soda. We didn't have any alcohol we made sure of it. If any one brought it in they were told to leave. We had some really big guys supervise things to make sure it didn't get out of control. if you're worried about them running off into the woods, maybe set up a temporary fence to make limits, peeing in the hot tub lol well lets just hope they don't. We tried to have a movie it didn't work to well, no one cared but we kept in running any way. assign someone to watch over the fire, that can get a bit crazy.

Neighbors, we went around the block and put notices in the mail boxes to let them know that we were throwing a party and would turn the music down about 11pm. We said if they had any questions to call us and left our numbers. We had absolutely no complaints that way.

otherwise your party sounds like it's going to be really fun. WAY better than prom, i went to my prom and hated it, waste of money!Need tips and Advice on how to throw a good party for minors?
Dont have alcohol ready available - that will be sure to get you in trouble - tell all of the guest that you put a chemical in the hottub to detect urine - so if anyone pisses in it then you will know and that will be the end of the party. Also might add that you need everyone to be semi quiet so that you will be sire to have more parties in the future. ???
    NO ALCOHOL.
well first off 2 keep every 1 in line tell them that the best behaved cuple will be king and queen also have them vote and u could up a TALL fence so tht they dont run off and to make evry 1 happy go 2 the peeps u r inviting and ask them for some of there favorite foods and make that and they might stay and enjoy there favorite food and provide a soft drinks and popcorn and snacks the movie make sure it isnt a stupid scary movie here r some suggestions:

    the grudge

    the grudge 2

    freddy

    the wrong turn

    the texas chainsaw massacre

    see no evil

    saw 1

    saw 2

    saw 3

    best of luck
NO ALCOHOL. The second thing I would do is have someone slightly older than you to ';chaperone.'; I don't mean separate people who are dancing to closely, rather someone to just keep their eyes and ears open. If they are close to your own age they won't stick out. That way you can enjoy yourself without having to worry about your guests. It seems that you have already done a great job planning the event. With more things to do, it is less likely that you will have problems.

Considering that you are having your own court, you defintiely need to get a tiara and crown. You could make winning it a funny contest instead of popularity contest. Perhaps pictionary, I know it seems goofy, but whatever age you're dealing with seems to like the game, especially once you get going. Or a dance off. Depending on how out going your guests are.
    Frisk them at the door...

    Feed them well

Play the music LOUD (so it thumps thru to the boys so they will dance)

Ask your neighbors to drop in if they want to.. = to help you out= they won't = but then they will tolerate the noise knowing they can come over... to give you suggestions... lol (sly trick but it works)

SEW have fun with the kids
teens sometimes like to play around with the kid stuff if you present it in a fun way. The balloon kits that you can make animals and swords work well. Soap bubbles and sidewalk chalk, silly putty and helium balloons that they can draw on. We've had bonfires that the teens grabbed the younger kids toys to entertain themselves with.

What is your advice to help my oldest daughter deal with a new sibling?

I have 3 daughters ages 8, 6, and 4. I recently had a little boy who is 9 days old. My oldest daughter has been acting up since we brought her brother home from the hospital. She's been punching and bullying her other sisters and has been playing tricks on everyone. I've tried sitting her down and talking to her straight up, I've tried threatening her. She keeps doing really bad things. How do I handle this? What do I do?What is your advice to help my oldest daughter deal with a new sibling?
I have 4 kids of my own 10 year old boy,7boy,6,girl and 19 month old girl.one of the first things i did was to make my oldest my helper not for his brother and sisters, but for me and baby, just having that time with him and the baby was magic even if was just at feed time!you have to remember that she had you all to her self once.im sure she would love to have that time with just you,to talk about school, friends and how shes feeling. What is your advice to help my oldest daughter deal with a new sibling?
Chris did this when he was little, he simply wanted attention and its hard to be the oldest. Let her help with the baby, and when you can take her out and spend some time with her.
    Let her be the helper
i would say involve her in the baby's life, and baby her too.

What do you advice about dietary/nutritional supplements?

I'm planning to start exercising since I feel I'm gaining more weight now than when I had my baby 4 months ago. I've always have in mind of trying dietary/nutritional natural supplements but I'm scare it would bring secondary effects. What do you think of that? What is your experience? What do you advice about dietary/nutritional supplements?
Dietary supplements may not be risk-free under certain circumstances. Be sure to consult your health practitioner before purchasing or taking any supplement if you are pregnant, nursing a baby, or have a chronic medical condition such as, diabetes, hypertension or heart disease. Also, while vitamin and mineral supplements are generally considered safe for children, you may wish to check with your doctor before giving these or any other dietary supplements to your child.

Do you have advice for helping a stray cat adjust?

    Practice!!!

Good luck.I need advice on how to price my garage sale items?
    go to this site: http://www.yardhopper.com

Look at some of the existing sales that are probably selling similar items to what you are selling. Check out the prices.

You can even email the user and ask their opinion directly.

This is ALL that you will need.

Well, maybe some garlic bread and a fresh salad with it.

Good luck KeemosahbeeI need advice on a good meal to cook?
    2 tablespoons butter

    1 onion, chopped

    2 cloves garlic, minced

1 3/4 pounds broccoli, thick stems peeled and diced, tops cut into small florets

1 1/2 pounds boiling potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes

3 cups canned low-sodium chicken broth or homemade stock

    3 cups water

    1 3/4 teaspoons salt

    1/4 teaspoon fresh-ground black pepper

    1/2 cup grated Parmesan

In a large pot, melt the butter over moderately low heat. Add the onion; cook, stirring occasionally, until translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the garlic, broccoli stems, potatoes, broth, water, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer until the vegetables are almost tender, about 10 minutes.

In a food processor or blender, pulse the soup to a coarse puree. Return the soup to the pot and bring to a simmer. Add the broccoli florets and simmer until they are tender, about 5 minutes. Stir 1/4 cup of the grated Parmesan into the soup, and serve the soup topped with the remaining cheese.

    Yield: 4 serving
    Pasta Salad (easy and simple)

    1 head of broccli

    1 head of cauliflower

    1 green bell pepper

    1 red bell pepper

1 box of tri colored rotini noodles (in the pasta aisle)

1-2 TBsp mayo (make sure its non fat..the real mayo)

    Salt and black pepper

    1/2 cup of cooking oil

Boil the noodles and oil in a pot until the noodles are soft but not mushy. The oil helps keep the noodles from sticking together..Boil in a seperate pan the broccli and cauliflower. Oh yea and cut the cauliflower and broccli up so its in small bite size pieces. Boil those until tender.

Finely chop up the 2 bell peppers and put in a large bowl. Once the broccli/cauliflower and noodles are done, rinse them off in cool water to help cool them faster. Add to the bell pepper bowl. Add the mayo and season with the salt and pepper. You can serve immediatly or chill in the fridge until ready to serve.

Variations would be to add onion, celery and/or tuna or cooked chopped chicken.

Delicious %26amp; Easy Crockpot Beef Roast

1 chuck or rump Beef Roast (sized for your crockpot)

    陆 Cup of Water

1 Packet of Ranch Dressing Mix

1 Packet of Italian Dressing Mix

1 Packet of Brown Gravy Mix

Put roast in crockpot, pour water around the base. Sprinkle all 3 dry seasoning packets over roast. Cover and cook for 6-7 hours on low. Remove roast to cutting board and let sit 15 minutes; slice thinly across the grain. This makes great tasting gravy too!

    ---------------------------

    SOUR CREAM MASHED POTATOES

    3 pounds boiling potatoes, peeled

    Kosher salt

    1 1/2 cups milk

    6 tablespoons unsalted butter

    1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Cut the potatoes into 1-inch cubes and place them in a large pot. Cover the potatoes with cold water and add enough salt so the water tastes quite salty. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer, uncovered, for about 10 to 12 minutes, until the potatoes fall apart easily when pierced with a fork.

Meanwhile, heat the milk and butter in a small saucepan, making sure it doesn't boil. Set aside until the potatoes are done.

As soon as the potatoes are tender, drain them in a colander. Place a food mill fitted with a small disc/blade over a glass bowl. Process the potatoes through the food mill (or mash with a masher). As soon as the potatoes are mashed, slowly whisk in enough of the hot milk/butter mixture to make the potatoes very creamy. Add 2 teaspoons of salt and the sour cream and pepper and whisk to combine. Taste for seasoning and serve hot.

    Green Bean Bundles

2 (16 oz) cans whole green beans

8 slices of bacon, cut into halves I use the Center cut bacon

1 tsp. garlic powder, or to taste

    1/4 cup melted butter

    1/2 cup packed brown sugar

    Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Drain beans and arrange into bundles of 5 beans. Wrap each bundle with 1/2 slice bacon. Arrange seam side down in baking dish with sides not touching.

Sprinkle with garlic powder. Drizzle with mixture of butter and brown sugar.

Bake for 30 minutes or until bacon is cooked through.

    Yield: 16 servings
    Super easy

    Brisket %26amp; Beans

1 full size brikset (market trimmed of the fat)

salt to taste (I use Kosher salt...it has a lot more flavor, regular salt is fine though)

pepper to taste (I use garlic pepper, regular pepper is fine though)

1 pound bag of pinto beans, rinsed

    1 onion thinly sliced

1 green bell pepper, seeded and thinly sliced

1 16 oz can diced tomatoes

1 16 oz can diced tomoatoes with green chilies

    you will also need

1 disposalbe aluminum roasting pan (the turkey size)

    Heavy duty aluminum foil

Wash the roasting pan and dry it. Salt and pepper your brisket...not too much salt. Place your brisket in the roasting pan upside down so that the layer of fat is on top. Scatter the pinto beans around the brisket. Then scatter the onion and bell pepper slices over and around the brisket. Pour both cans of tomatoes, with the juice, evenly around the brisket. Pour the water over the brisket. Cover tightly with the aluminum foil and bake at 275 for 10 hours. Do not peek at all during the cooking time this will cause steam to escape and it will cause it to be under cooked if you peek.

This is so good and easy also. If you cook this for your and your parents the beans and the meat can be frozen for future use. I usually shred the meat and freeze it in 2 cup quantities to make BBQ loose meat sandwiches later. I do the same with the beans freeze it in 2 cup quantities so that I can just pull a package out of the freezer for a quick side dish.
I know this sounds ridiculous, but you can't go wrong with lovely personal sized homemade pizzas.

You can dress it up or down, but for instance, last night, I made four personal pizzas for my family.

The boys got their regular dough, sausage, and mozzarella...

We did a whole wheat dough, chopped red bell peppers, green peppers, vidalia onions, a little mozzarella and some feta with garlic and herb. When paired with a nice white wine (for those of age in your family), this personal pizzas are delicious and look quite fancy, and it's not hard at all to pick out nice ingredients and dress it up!

You can buy dough and sauce etc... pre-made...

FYI: In the past, when I've sauteed vegetables prior to cooking, they got too soft. I say no to sauteing the peppers, but if you want to soften the onion, fry it up in just a little bit of extra virgin olive oil and don't cook it TOO long. Just until it slightly softens.

The great thing about these is there is one for everyone and they can be as unique as each guest!

    :-D

It was a hit at my house! With a variety of tastes, and me being a vegetarian, this recipe can't go wrong!

P.S. Hint: When using pre-made pizza dough, flour each ball of dough a bit for easier manipulation. Use a rolling pin to acheive a round shape.

For a twist, slice cheese sticks in half and make a circle out of them about one inch in from the edge of the dough. Wrap the extra inch of dough around the cheese sticks and voila! Stuffed crust!!!

Anyone have advice/ tips for DIY framing rectangular prints in oval frames?

Have a large stairway that really needs some decor. Have chosen some beautiful prints but all are rectangular. The space would certainly be more visually pleasing if oval frames were used. Problem is, professional custom framing will cost an arm %26amp; a leg (multiple times the price of the prints themselves). Have found reasonably priced ready made frames for DIY but would like a clean %26amp; professional look. Any help would be appreciated.Anyone have advice/ tips for DIY framing rectangular prints in oval frames?
If you look around, you can find pre-made frames that are oval, with the white paper backing and a rectangular opening for the print. If you cant find one, they are simple to make.

    1) buy a larger than you need oval frame

    2) buy some thick white (or whatever color) cardstock( larger than the size of your print)

    3) Cut a whole in the cardstock for your opening for your print

    4) cut the 'outside' of the cardstock to fit in your oval frame

Easy way to do this would be to take out the backing of the frame, and trace onto the cardstock for cutting the outline. Then, on the back of the cardstock, trace your print and cut out your opening.

I hope this makes sense, it really is pretty simple to do, and can be very inexpensive, plus, you'll get the satisfaction of doing it yourself!!Anyone have advice/ tips for DIY framing rectangular prints in oval frames?
try at the photograph.. could find some frame used for photos ..

  • Home business advice and info would be greatly appreciated?

I going to start a home business pretty soon, but the thing is I don't know anyone personally to find out how to go about starting one. So I wanted to know what are the things I need to know and things I need to do before I jump in, preferably from people who have home businesses or who are planning to start one as well.

By the way I live in Toronto, Canada. If I could get some info and advice from you all, I would appreciate it!Home business advice and info would be greatly appreciated?
The way you go about setting up a home business varies depending what the business is going to be. There are only a couple real constants and so its those two that I will address.

    1) Get an eye-catching web page. This is the most significant thing because you want people to be attracted to your business. It should suit whatever product you are selling but also be unique and fun. Most importantly, it should give the appearance of professionalism.

    2) Get a toll free number. A catchy 1-800 number is something any business should have. There's a reason EVERY Fortune 500 company has one. A toll free gives customers easy access to contact you without paying long distance charges. It also adds to the appearance of professionalism. And a customer will remember the number and be more likely to find you later. It's a fact that a toll free number can increase business by as much as 600%. I recommend checking out www.tollfreenumber.org. They specialize in working with small businesses so they've got the lowest prices.

Hope this helps =)Home business advice and info would be greatly appreciated?

sell online is a good way for you, because online buying become so popular at present. You'll start earning money by sharing your opinion.

If you have ever dreamed of making money on the Internet, then this site is for you.
This this http://locatereviews.com/34434798 video it will answer your questions and show you how.
You really need to know a few things about yourself before you even start looking at specific options.

Are you ready to take action or are you more likely to play with options until something else attracts your attention?

Are you willing to do your homework before jumping in to any business opportunity?

I'm assuming you can answer ';yes'; on both fronts. If so, it's time to start searching.

I believe in testing home business options on 3 levels.

First, it's important to really believe in the product. Whether your selling goods or services, pick something that you feel good about. It makes it easier, improves your odds of success and helps you to stay away from ';questionable'; offers.

Second, look at the culture of program. If it's all rah-rah cheerleading and strong-armed motivation to sell, think twice. If it's a fly-by-night deal operated by relative unknowns, think twice. You get the idea.

Third, look at your real earnings potential with the opportunity. Don't just look at there ';you could make $X'; brochure material. Pull out a pencil and crunch a few numbers to assess whether you have a good chance of succeeding.

I'm a strong believer in home businesses and I know they can pay off in huge ways. I also know that those who jump on the wrong opportunity often end up abandoning their dreams after getting burned, which is a real shame.

I wish you the best of luck in finding the program/approach that will work for you.

Here are some tips in home businesses.

    - Decide what part of your house you want to use to start a business?

Choose an area that does not interact much with family activities. A garage ,聽 a basement or attic are the ideal areas .

    - How long can you allocate your business?

It will be a part-time or full-time business . A part-time is a business that you do in your free time, while a full time commitment involves more time, from this point of view it is similar to a classic job.

    - Choose the business subject

You decide what kind of business you want to start. Make a list of things that you like, you are passionate and you know best. Remove from the list those things that do not solve a real need, things that you think may not be a profitable business. Keep only those passions that can be converted into business, which respond to market demands.

聽Choose a legal form for your business

This may be an LLC or a family association , you decide . If you can not decide the most appropriate is to go and speak with a counselor.

Plan your spending and earnings before. You have sufficient capital to start the desired business ? If not, then how you can get the money? You borrow from a bank, will co-opt partners who have the capital or you will start looking for investors?

    - Get information聽 about what you want to do

After you chose the business, the next step should be hunting for information. Find out who are your competitors, find out all possible details about the business you want to start . Spend several weeks reading everything you catch about the subject. Only in this way you can have complete picture of your problem and you can avoid unpleasant surprises that can occur during.

聽Create a business plan , it will help you clarify the聽 ideas and establish a strategy for action.

    - Make聽 a list of things that need to be purchased to go to work.

Put on the list all the necessary expences , from the documents required to things that depend on the specifics of your business. Some of them you may already have聽聽 , others will be bought / borrowed.
The first decision you need to make is what type of business you want to start. Is there anything that really interests you and you enjoy. When starting a business, you want to do something that you enjoy or you may not work too hard at making it a success.

If you are undecided on what business you want to start, maybe you should make a list of the different things that you enjoy doing and then go over it to see which ones really stand out to you. Once you decide on which business you want to start then you need to create a business plan. A business plan is the most important aspect of starting your business. It helps you to determine your mission, your goals, and objectives. It is your business plan that helps you work towards a successful business. It actually acts as your road map to success. This will diffidently be your first step in starting a business.

If you are undecided on what type of business you wish to pursue and need some input, I would like to recommend becoming a Virtual Assistant. A Virtual Assistant, or VA, is a highly skilled independent entrepreneur who provides a variety of services to businesses that are in need of administrative assistance. If you are experienced in a service - such as word processing, data entry, web design, and much more - you may consider becoming a Virtual Assistant. Any business you do start, however, you need to do your research. If you would like to research more on Virtual Assistant's, you can do so at VAnetworking.com. This website is great for those who are looking to become a Virtual Assistant as well as those who have been a Virtual Assistant for many years. Everyone there is very helpful and will answer any question that you may have. They offer a forum to talk with other VA's, free eseminars, free membership, and much more. As a Virtual Assistant myself, I have learned a great deal from everyone at this site. You will really enjoy it if you do decide to become a VA.

Good luck on deciding what business to start.

What good advice would you give a beginning boxer?

I am about to begin boxing training at a boxing gym. I have never boxed before and I am seeking from you the best advice you can give me about how to be successful at this. I plan to box for fun and exercise. What good advice would you give a beginning boxer?
there is so much to learn, but to start with plenty of skipping some step aerobics plenty of running and shadow boxing.this should be enough to start with for your timing, coordination and cardio then your usual stuff push ups, sit ups, crunchers, pull ups on door frame, star jumps and forget squats, stand in an horse ridding position with back perfectly straight for as long as you possible can this is far more effective than squats, and all your usual circuit training and swimming is a great all round exercise that will work all your muscles, and all this can be done at home with no equipment, apart from swimming of course.all this along with what you do in the boxing gym,and come home and practice should be plenty to start with.and once you start getting some equipment of your own the program will naturally grow. as for tips on the fighting side of the training keep your chin down guard up with arms tight to your side.no elbows up and very side on so to present a smaller target, and when you throw a punch keep your elbows down as much as possible, and keep your shots short and as straight as pos, this way your shots should take the shortest route to the target and as your shots are short this will give you some follow through on impact.all so try to sit down on your punch so that you can push your body weight in to your punches, also stay loose and relaxed snapping out your punch and rolling from the wrist over just before impact.try to breath out as you punch too. And with the right cross always remember to turn you shoulder over the top of the punch, you should try to practice stepping in with say a double jab as to get used to closing gaps on your opponent. and a simple pivot or parry on the jab as if your keeping the center of the ring on the jab, or turning your opponent this is also a great defense technique. i could go on for ever like,i said there's a lot to learn but this should be enough to start with.and there's some use full tips in there, good look with your training. hope you enjoy itWhat good advice would you give a beginning boxer?
Get ahead of the other guys in the gym by working on your cardio. Skipping rope is my personal favorite exercise for a warmup because it works on your cardio and calves - 2 enormously important areas for boxers.

Strong calves will keep you on your toes, and good cardio will keep you focused on technique through the sparring and training sessions instead of sucking air and feeling fatigued.

I would also think you can do basic exercises that don't require weights - pushups, situps, jumping jacks, lunges, squats box jumps, jogging... Getting in general good shape is something you can do on your own without coaching.

Outside that wait and get some instruction from your trainer. He may have a program set up for new boxers - any specific advice as far as training might go against your trainer, so be wary of that. But you can't go wrong with cardio and the basic muscle groups, so that should be a good beginning.
If your only boxing for fun and exercises just go to your local boxing gym and train. But if you want to be a fighter the first thing you need to find is a good trainer who will work with you . The second thing you need to do is listen to him and don,t skip the fundamentals, fundamentals, fundamentals I can not stress that enough and have fun.
start running as much as you can . i just signed up too and one thing i learned is if you neglect the legs, you wont get very far into boxing .

my stamina is of a 80 year old because i never worked on my legs when working out only chest biceps and shoulders ... ...

    i am doing Kboxing

Keep your shoulders loose. Punch with your two top knuckles, tuck your chin, hands up, don't stand flat footed and stay in the ';fight';.
