In a couple of weeks I will start my first job ever. It is in the corporata field.
I would appreciate the advice of experienced people.
If you don't mind mentioning what you do too. Thanks. What is the best advice you could give someone who will start his first job?
always show up early for everything. if the office officially opens @ 8, be there @ 7:30. for meetings, 5-10 minutes early. if your not busy, ask other people if they need help w/ something. learn other people's jobs. what they do. how it affects your job. don't be afraid to ask questions. be a good employee. that's what they pay you for. even though you think no one is noticing your extra effort, they are. What is the best advice you could give someone who will start his first job?
First thing, congrats on your job.
Please respect it.
Be on time, show up everyday. Check your attitude at the door.
Co-operate with the business and your peers, and do not get involved with the BS in an office world. Stay neutral as much as possible.
Remember that your job is your Livelihood, not your Life.
Be nice to everyone and be part of the team socially because outsiders are the first to be laid off. Also understand politics and personalities are the main reason someone is promoted, not hard work.
