What is the best advice for driving across the country?

My Boyfriend and I will be driving from South Florida to Southern California. We're going to give ourselves three days to make this trip with two overnight stays. One overnight stay being in New orleans, LA and the next in El Paso, TX. We've done the drive to New Orleans, LA before in one day but we're getting worried that we put way too much on our plates by making this drive from coast to coast. Does anyone have any tips for making this drive as safe and enjoyable as possible? What is the best advice for driving across the country?
I would be worried too. To make this drive in just 3 days, you will need to drive over 13 hours per day. That's not a lot of time left in the day to sleep, eat, and stretch! Hopefully, you will take turns driving, but you will both be very tired when you arrive. Bring a variety of music and books on tape to listen to while you drive. Good luck! What is the best advice for driving across the country?
I dont know your exact starting point and end finish but Miami - LA is 2733 miles and with an average of 65 mph that will take 42 hours. You can make that in three days but it requires 14 hours behind the weel per day so change driver frequently and rest when you can.
yea, don't stop for ANY hitchhikers, especially little kids because they're usually the bait to lore travelers.
